History of the Blum House

The Blum house is set at the western edge of a 20-acre upland meadow. There is a huge fieldstone floor to ceiling fireplace in the great room opposite a panoramic picture window with breathtaking views of the meadow and Laurel Ridge. The spring-fed pond is also visible from the Blum house.

The house also features plastered walls with a stucco exterior and redwood trim, cathedral ceilings, built-in desks and cabinetry in every bedroom, Berndtson’s signature built-in bookcase, mitred corner windows, and wonderful views from every room.

The final floor plan was changed slightly from this blueprint during the final construction. The wall inside the utility/storage room was eliminated, and the stone ledge was moved to the other side of the entry.
